Barbara Brackman has given us a slice of history from the late 1700's and early 1800's with reproduction prints of imported cotton fabric from London. These fabrics have been named after the trading ships that would arrive at the colonial ports of Boston, New York, and Philadelphia. The large scale designs in this collection originated in the Netherlands, India, France, and England. The dyes that were used to print the fabrics during that period were derived from vegetables and are represented in the China blue, India red, Pompadour purple, Nankeen tan, and Muslin white.
